Our Projects
A selection of some of our projects currently looking for investment funding
German Data Center upgrade and capacity enhancement
Opportunity to redevelop existing operational DC site. Data connection and grid in place. These will be upgraded and high density racks fitted. Nearby wind could also be integrated. Rare opportunity to redevelop within existing footprint and potentially expand.
Investor exit route by way of sale or lease to an operator. Upgrade can be delivered to operator specification.
Potential for large scale AI. Power is plentiful, and there are multiple fibre and satellite connections.
Disaster Recovery Cluster of Data Centers
Ground breaking approach, competes head on with major recovery players but with much lower CAPEX, and by exponentially reducing the risk of ransomware.
The low cost pilot will focus on 2 Disaster Recovery sites, 250 miles apart and with separate data connections and power supply. Neither site will hold a complete copy of clients data, it will be encrypted and split via sharing across the cluster. Each site costs £400k and the pilot will need 2 sites. £800k CAPEX.
Once scaled the cluster will be comprise of 14 UK sites and supports a strong IRR. It would cost under £6m CAPEX to deliver and has exceptionally low operating costs.
The pilot sites have been shortlisted - One is already owned, one will be leased.
100MW Modular HPC DC
Phase one - 10MW, but significant potential for expansion to 100MW.
Modular approach ensuring speed of delivery and lower CAPEX.
The project is being led by an energy company who understand the importance of pricing for AI training, Inference and machine learning. The objective will be to offer a combination of shell with racks and also full AI as a service - but ensuring that this can be offered a lower than market rates. This will attract pre-sale and leasing to de-risk.
Exit routes for an equity investor will be at 10MW (pilot) and 100MW
Innovative approach to DC Cooling
Swiss Firm are testing a process which produces Ice from either solar or from DC heat emissions which could be ground breaking for off grid DC cooling. Also has cross sector applications for marine, agriculture and Bio-tech. The unit is currently at TRL-5 and part of the funding is required to take it to TRL-6 and product launch for pre-sales prior to scaled manufacture.
Cyber Security Testing Data Center
Data center dedicated to Cyber security testing. Enables cyber attack and defence on 'physical' DC infrastructure - not sandbox testing. Client is seeking $2m equity investment for Pilot. Costs will be kept to a minimum by initially focusing testing on legacy core servers - ie those used by corporates but then to expand to include cyber attack and defence on high performance compute.
Expressions of interest for a key stakeholders, have been issued to the following sectors - Cyber, Defence, Financial Services and Legal.
A leased site has been identified and can be brought under control quickly via option agreement. Strong Council support.
Turning Data Center nuclear waste into clean energy
AI focused engineering company has pioneered use of nuclear waste to provide safe, clean power.
This could be groundbreaking for the growth in nuclear powered data centers as it reduces the whole life costs, whilst solving problem of how to dispose of nuclear fuel.
The company has already received significant Governmental backing and a formal raise of $100m is pending.

US Modular DC supplier seeking overseas clients
Innovative US modular DC suppliers delivering PUE of 1.02 & 50% energy savings.
They have designed and built immersive pods which can be classed as modular DCS but stand out as they use immersive cooling. This brings the PUE down to only 1.02 enabling an operator to offer HPC at massively reduced energy costs.
Each Pod has a 90% smaller footprint; 50% less power usage; 0% water usage and 12ms latency.
They can deploy within 45-90 days.
They don't need investment - they need more clients and have strong expansion plans.
UK Data Center with SMR nuclear potential
The site is viable for a DC with Small Nuclear Reactor
GigaScout development appraisal pending but it looks like it will be £2m Top co Seed then £30m for DC itself. SMR will be funded by a specialist but has not yet been arranged.
The key aspect will be planning, but we are advised that there is strong support.
